West Java Overview

West Java is a province in Indonesia. Bandung is the capital. West Java Province is a province with the highest number of people in Indonesia. The northwest province of West Java province borders directly with Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.

West Java Province is a province with the highest number of people in Indonesia. Areas with population density is located near Jakarta. Bandung, West Java provincial capital is a city with a population of the third largest in Indonesia after Jakarta and Surabaya.

Most of the population is a tribe of West Java Sunda, a Sundanese language is in used. In some coastal cities in the north, Cirebon Javanese dialect is in used, which is similar to the Javanese Tegal dialect. On the border with the Jakarta such as Bekasi, Depok, Bogor district and northern, Betawi dialect is in used.

Kinship system in Sundanese people influenced by the tradition from generation to generation to be based on the Islamic religion, customs and religious elements closely tied into traditional customs and culture Sundanese people. Nature tourism among others, Puncak, Salabintana, Lembang, Tangkuban Perahu, Mount Papandayan, Ciater, Linggajati, Kebun Raya Bogor, Taman Safari Indonesia, Juanda Forest Park in Bandung, Mekarsari Park, Nusantara Flower Park in Cianjur, Gede Pangtango National Park, Ujung Kulon National Park, Situ Patenggang in Ciwidey, Cipanas in Garut, Ujung Genteng Beach in Sukabumi, Pelabuhan Ratu Beach in Sukabumi, Pangandaran Beach in Ciamis, Carita in Anyer.

Cultural tourism among others, Temple Cangkuang in Leles Garut, Baduy and Sisingaan Village in Tasikmalaya, history tourism as Kasepuan Palace in Cirebon, Old Banten in Naga Village in Serang, historical era stone (Megalitikum) in Cipari Kuningan, and Bosscha Observatory in Bandung.
